The quality concept moves us since 1925. As a family managed and - owned business in its third generation, we organize your logistics today with modern management structures, efficient systems and innovative quality management.

In the past we have always moved to those places where the Customer needed us. The daily requirements of our Customers are the business of the subsidiaries that form part of the Offergeld system-network and which were established as logical solutions for our Customers’ orders. They guarantee a direct and personal contact with our Customers.

Growth, continuation of our international focus and maintaining our independence were in the past, and continue to be today, the basis of our success and long-term relations with our Customers.

Milestones in our corporate development

Start and new commencement

• 1924
  Adam Offergeld establishes a transport company and thus creates the cornerstone for the
  present corporation. The business grows continuously.

• 1936
  Adam Offergeld establishes a forwarding agency, together with his brothers Josef and Hermann, who are also in the transport business.

• 1939
  At the onset of the war our trucks and drivers were conscripted into military service.

• 1945
  The reconstruction after the war takes shape difficultly and progresses slowly.

Reconstruction and continuous growth

• 1948
  After the currency reform the industry finds it footing again.
  The first box truck runs for the Dalli-plants.

• 1949
  With Hans Offergeld the second generation enters into the business.
  Already at the onset of the Fifties the original location is bursting out of its seams.
  A new and modern forwarding centre is built in open country between 1953 and 1954. 

• 1957
  At the commencement of glass transport we have 10 own trucks in our fleet.
  In the spring we manage our entry into the international business.
  In Germany we found our first branch in Grevenbroich.
  Additional branches follow in Berlin and Mannheim.

• 1972
  The start-up of our first computer system makes it necessary to expand and shift our offices.

• 1973
  Acquisition of Rogister Transports Internationaux in Welkenraedt, Belgium.
  In the 80s a series of subsidiaries were founded in Germany and in Luxembourg.

• 1983
  Brigitte Offergeld and Dr. Johannes Offergeld are the third generation to enter into the family business.

Reunification and Europeanization of the services

• 1990/1991
  The reunification of Germany creates great activities in the newly added federal states. Subsidiaries were founded in Brandenburg, Mecklenburg Vorpommern and in Sachsen-Anhalt.

• 1992
  The internal market development requires further expansion in Belgium and Luxembourg.

• 1990s – today
  Consistent Europeanization: Offergeld expands into Hungary, France, Poland and the UK. Also nationwide we continue to open subsidiaries and to build new logistics centres.
